I work as a freelancer with VCSE organisations offering a range of services (listed below). I have 25 years’ experience of working in the public and voluntary sectors across a range of roles from 1-1 work through project management and organisation development to strategic fund management for the local authority and managing a 100+ strong Community Engagement Department for a school in a highly diverse and socio-economically disadvantaged community. Since starting Wide Open Voices 8 years ago, I have worked almost exclusively with Black South West Network whilst also completing my MSc and PhD.
I prioritise working with organisations of any size on the frontline of racial and gender justice work. However, I offer smaller Black and/or women or non-binary led VCSE organisations services subsidised by the fees I charge larger organisations in all sectors.

Whilst knowledge is power, knowledge can challenge power too. As such, using my academic research training, in addition to the above, I offer research services to the VCSE sectors. I can develop, design, oversee or directly deliver research that will provide an evidence base to strengthen business plans, strategy development, funding applications, and any work undertaken to change inequitable policies and practices.
